This morning it was all hands on the pump for Attrax as we took part in the first edition of TA Global Gathering, a virtual experience that provides insight and education from some of the brightest minds in TA, as well as connecting the industry through the sharing of ideas and experiences. James Saunders, Attrax CEO, hosted a well-attended session on how to build a business case for a careers site system. Using James' words: "Careers sites are often seen as time-consuming and resource-intensive creative projects. Because of this, it can fall down the list of priorities. However a great careers site has increased importance in a post pandemic world and can align with your strategic objectives. Move your thinking away from a careers site project to a careers site system, which continuously evolves and supports objectives. This can be much simpler than you might think. Based on part 1 of our our eBook series and with practical recommendations from TA experts working at IBM, IQVIA and Mitchells & Butlers, this session will give you all the information and context you need to create a successful business case for a careers site system." In case you missed James' session this morning - or if you'd like to watch it again - please enjoy the recording below:  This presentation is based on our eBook "The value of your careers site - building the business case". Please feel free to download it. Why Attrax Our multiple award-winning careers site system converts site visitors into high-quality job applicants. Earlier this month, Attrax's CEO James Saunders visited the world’s most popular HR/ Talent Acquisition event –the HR Technology Conference and Exposition in Las Vegas.HR Tech annually gathers HR experts and professionals to discuss how companies can use the latest technology to create a seamless talent experience. Although the 2019 edition ended on Friday 4th October, the lessons learned and key trends will continue all year. Here are three key takeaways that will have a lasting impact in 2020:   The demise of end-to-end solutionsAs the world-known industry analyst John Bersin mentions in his session “There used to be a very clear strategy of going to the right vendor to get everything you need. Now it’s impossible to get everything from one vendor […]. Vendors that try to do everything can’t keep up”. Simply put, companies are investing in solutions that solve very specific needs as bigger vendors are struggling to “do it all”. The rise of talent experienceSeveral speakers dealt with the new concept of talent experience – an expression encompassing both candidate experience and employee experience. From the moment individuals check your careers website for vacancies to the moment after they have left and are ready to leave a positive review, it is all part of a seamless experience for them. Companies need to step up and be able to offer a smooth experience for their employees throughout the employment cycle.  Embrace AI in recruitment According to John Bersin AI is becoming ubiquitous in HR technology and a lot of vendors are incorporating it into their products. It is easy for HR and Talent Acquisition teams to get overwhelmed by all the technological changes they are encouraged to adopt. Tools like AI should not be perceived as frightening given the lasting positive impact they can have on the talent experience.  The popular hospitality giant Hilton has integrated AI in the recruitment process: their video interview tools use predictive intelligence to quickly analyse and place candidates in roles where they can flourish. Sarah Smart, Hilton’s VP Global Recruitment, has testified that the time needed to fill a vacancy went down from six weeks to one week, that Hilton has 400% more offers and that their turnover rate has significantly declined as a result of incorporating AI.Want to know more about AI and recruitment? In front of a packed room, DJ and Warren’s presentation explored the evolution of the careers website, the importance of recruitment marketing and careers websites. They went on to explore how to attract website visitors with Google search, Google for Jobs and targeted advertising, coupled with the improvements you can make to your careers site, through content, user experience and ATS integration. Yesterday was all hands to the pump for Attrax, as the In-House Recruitment Network’s Live! event came to London for its annual appearance in the recruitment hub of the South. Situated in the Business Design Centre and featuring numerous suppliers as well as keynote speeches by industry leaders, it was the place to be seen for any in-house recruitment professional in London- and beyond. As a Gold Partner, Attrax had their own stand at the London Live! event, but what was infinitely more exciting was the speech that our resident recruitment expert David Johnston gave at 10.45 on our favourite subject: ATS’s and Google for Jobs. In front of a packed room, DJ’s speech on The Future of Careers Sites (see the presentation here) explored the evolution of the careers website, the importance of having a good ATS, and how to spice up your candidate journey. The key takeaways? Though 40% of employers don’t know what their conversion rate is, it’s never been more important when it comes to attracting and engaging candidates. Getting the candidate journey right is important, too, and in-house recruiters need to adapt their careers site accordingly to engage those candidates in a competitive market: 1) Make sure your jobs are Google friendly and not hidden in your ATS2) Create content that people want to read3) Don’t lose applicants because of your ATS login. After the presentation came the chance to swap insights with other members of the in-house recruitment industry, and to give people a look under the hood of Attrax, our careers site system. Thanks to everybody for such an exciting day- see you next year!
